Have Bed Shield products been lab certified to prevent bed bugs and dust mites from entering my mattress? Yes. Not only will bed bugs be prevented from entering your mattress (and/or box spring), previously infested mattresses can be covered and bed bugs will eventually die as they have no human blood source to feed upon. Encasements will not keep the bed bugs off your bed but will prevent them from hiding inside. For infested rooms, it is recommended that a pest control company be contacted to exterminate in conjunction with using Bed Shield encasements How do I care for my Bed Shield products?Wash your Bed Shield products in warm water with other linens. Tumble dry on medium temperature. Do not over-heat encasements or ShieldGuard fabric may blister or scorch.
Do not bleach.
What is ShieldGuard Fabric? ShieldGuard fabric is a polyurethane barrier film that provides a healthy, allergy-free sleep zone. What do I do if I spill something on my encasement? Machine wash on warm and tumble dry as quickly as possible after the spill. How do the EasyFlip Tags Work? Bed Shield products are designed with 2 sleep surfaces instead of 1 sleep surface to prolong the life of our encasement. The EasyFlip Tags allow you to flip or turn your mattress without taking your encasement off and reapplying. The tags remind you how to care for your mattress by rotating or flipping to insure longevity of mattress. Do I need both a box spring encasement and a mattress encasement to protect my bed against bed bugs? Bed bugs cannot bite you from the box spring however, this is an ideal place for them to hide and burrow within the wooden frame therefore, entomologists often recommend that the box spring also be encased. |
